Sizing & fit
How do I find my size?
Our women's tee comes in S, M, and L. Use your usual bust measurement as a guide. The fit is fitted (not tight) and slightly cropped, about 2" shorter than a standard tee.
S: chest 16", body length 18"
M: chest 17", body length 19"
L: chest 18", body length 20"
If you're between sizes and prefer a looser fit, size up.
How do I find my dog's size?
Measure two things: your dog's chest girth (around the widest part of their chest) and their back length (base of neck to start of tail). Then match to our chart:
XS: neck 8–10", body length 10", body width 7"
S: neck 10–14", body length 12", body width 8"
M: neck 14–18", body length 14", body width 10"
L: neck 18–22", body length 17", body width 12"
If your dog is between sizes, we suggest sizing up.
What if my dog has an unusual build?
Long-bodied breeds (dachshunds, corgis) should prioritize back length. Deep-chested breeds (beagles, pugs, frenchies) should prioritize chest and neck girth. When in doubt, email us at pepper@forhotdogs.com with your measurements and we'll help.
How does bandana sizing work?
The bandana ties on, so there's give. Match to your dog's neck circumference: XS fits 20–28 cm (8–11"), S fits 28–38 cm (11–15"), M fits 38–48 cm (15–19"), L fits 48–56 cm (19–22").
Will the human and dog pieces actually match?
Yes, that's the whole point. Every piece in the collection is cut from the same blush pink pointelle knit, so color and texture line up across you and your dog.
Care & materials
What is everything made of?
The whole launch collection is 96% cotton / 4% spandex pointelle knit. A soft, breathable fabric with delicate openwork detailing and a gentle two-way stretch.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors (hand wash the scrunchie). Lay flat to dry. Skip the dryer to keep the fit and color, and avoid bleach and fabric softener.
Is the fabric safe for dogs?
Yes. Same cotton-spandex blend as the human tee, soft and breathable, with no harsh finishes. As with any clothing, supervise your dog the first few wears to make sure they're comfortable.
Should I wash before first wear?
Not required, but a cold gentle wash before first wear is always a good idea.
Do the pieces shrink?
Minimal shrinkage if washed cold and air dried. Hot water or machine drying may cause some.
